Hi.
I used docbook with psgml before and I recall it was a little hard to install.
I've spent two days trying but I still can't work with it. I'm clueless.
There are a lot of docs out there about it but I still haven't find a guide
to help me install it on debian.

I apt-cache search every package about docbook, dtd, xml, sgml , ...

Right now I can't insert the book DTD. In emacs I type: c-c c-u c-d
Insert DTD: book [no match]. The same if I type article.
The DTDs are there, I did found catalogs:

/usr/share/sgml/docbook/dtd/3.0/catalog
.... more dtds ...
/usr/share/sgml/docbook/dtd/4.2/catalog
/usr/share/sgml/docbook/dtd/4.3/catalog

Any hints ? I'd really appreciate if someone points me to a debian
psgml installing guide or give me any advice about what I'm missing.

Thank you very much.

C-h v sgml-custom-dtd

psgml is more or less from Emacs experts, (un)fortunately.

Well, at last I managed to make it work changing the header of my
document
to:
<!DOCTYPE book PUBLIC "-//OASIS//DTD DocBook XML V4.2//EN"

Unfortunately I can't run db2pdf, it looks like an old problem with
jade:
jade:/usr/share/xml/entities/xml-iso-entities-8879.1986/ISOamsr.ent:53:18:E:
"X227C" is not a function name
....and so on

I searched google and it looks like it is already solved, though I
have
the latest docbook-utils and jade for debian unstable.

Any hints ?
