Hi folks

I am used to editing html so far but I am trying to use a database to
bring the dialogues stored as records through a python script and
publish automatically as sgml which can then be converted to postscript
for printing.

However I can't find a way to make tables!

<!doctype linuxdoc system>
<article>
...
</article>

seem to work well. But I don't know how to create tables!

Any help appreciated.

Thanks
sree

Don't. Use XML instead, it's much easier and there is much more software
available.

Tables are *hard*. On the rare occasions I need them, I use the CALS
tables format, which is available for inclusion into any DTD. The HTML
tables model really isn't suitable for publication-quality formatting.
